The Secret

Do you believe in miracles? If you believe in God, then most probably you will. I have heard about this thing called The Secret a few months ago, but didn't get to read or watch it until a few weeks back.

Read the book and was surprised to find out that I've been practising part of it without realising it. For instance, I'd visualise a parking spot exactly where I'd like it to be and it's usually there.

I applied for a new job last year while still working for a former employer. While applying, I visualised I got called for an interview and was hired by the future employer. Can you guess what happened a few weeks after? I was called for an interview and hired for the post I applied for.

Once, I thought of a dear friend as I didn't hear from her in a while. Guess what? She rang me up the very same day.

Now, these events happened before I learnt about the law of attraction
The Secret. Coincidence, you say? Nah, I asked, I believed and I received. Always remember to thank God and be grateful for what you have.

I've another story. After the recent 40% fuel hike, many drivers are concerned about travelling costs especially long
distance drivers like me. Before the fuel hike, a single (oneway) journey from Kuala Lumpur to my hometown up north (519km in distance) cost RM70 for petrol and RM53+ for toll (US$1 = RM3.30). That was nearly RM250 for a return journey. After the fuel hike, I was afraid that it'd cost about RM100 just for petrol for a single journey. I drove home two days after I started reading the book. I had only read a third of the book and decided to apply the law of attraction consciously this time.

Here's what I did. I visualised my journey home the day before. Prayed that it'd be smooth
sailing, the day to be cloudy and the image of RM70 kept popping up on my mind. Drove no more than 100kph (the speed limit on Malaysian expressways is 110kph) except when overtaking and left the aircond off nearly half of the journey since I left early morning and it was still cool.

Can you guess how much I spent on petrol for the single trip? Go on, make a guess (keep the 40% fuel hike in mind).

Hello!

Very interesting post.

You would have saved 20% of the cost because you switched off the air con for half the way.

Am I right?

Best wishes!

Thank you, Joseph. Technically, you're right. I paid the same for petrol on this trip (RM70), so there was no difference although there was a 40% hike. Interesting, aye?

It is, Ewe Jin. It works for you as well?
