Earth hour should be observed but I think only educated people will do something about it. There are too many illiterate people in India who are not aware of all this. In fact many villages in India don't even have electricity.
You know that Kearal state in which I live in is the most educated state in the country. But this means most people only know to sign their names and this the extent of literacy they have:) So you can imagine what sort of literacy is prevalent in other parts of our vast country:)
