Rainy Days
The flooded backyard garden
It has been raining heavily for several days consecutively. The rain started a day before Ramadhan. Not that I'm complaining. It's easier to fast on cooler days.
As always, there are Ramadhan Bazaars selling mostly food everywhere in the country now. I've only been to one on the first day, but didn't find anything I wanted. Didn't feel like going to my favourite bazaar yet this year. I dislike crowded places, more so with the school holidays and spreading of Influenza A (H1N1) virus now. If I had to run errands, I'd go early in the morning when it's much less crowded as I've always done all these years. For Ramadhan Bazaar posts in Kuala Lumpur, see Boo's Masak–masak. I'm a regular reader of Boo's blog. She does good annual Ramadhan Bazaar posts, which are pleasant to read.
My sister has been cooking regularly these days, and I've been to the kitchen more often than I used to. It's all due to Ramadhan. Will upload the posts soon.

Clouds, Oh Clouds
It rains almost daily again lately, alternating with bright, sunny days. Not that I am complaining. I do like rainy days as much as I appreciate sunny days. Life is like the weather, don't you think? There are sunny days, rainy days, good days and not–so–good days, but no matter, as Professor Albus Dumbledore said, "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light."
Some cloud quotes:
"A cloud does not know why it moves in just such a direction and at such a speed. It feels an impulsion, this is the place to go now. But the sky knows the reasons and the patterns behind all clouds, and you will know too, when you lift yourself high enough to see beyond horizons." – Richard Bach
"A pessimist only sees the dark side of the clouds and mopes, a philosopher sees both sides and shrugs, an optimist doesn't see the clouds at all – he's walking on them." – Leonard L. Levinson
"A promise is a cloud, fulfillment is rain." – Arabian proverb
"Clouds may come, but clouds must go, and they all have a silver lining, for behind each cloud you know the sun or moon is shining." – Anonymous
