Mo has the special talent to bring characters out of books. One night, he brings out three characters from Inkheart, two villains, Capricorn and Basta, and Dustfinger, a fire–eater. Inkheart is a story set in medieval times and filled with magical beings. Ten years later, Meggie discovers the truth and it's up to her to escape Capricorn's evil grasp.
Being a silvertongue (able to bring characters out of books to life by just reading) is an extraordinary gift. Inkheart has the ingredients for a good fantasy film, but unfortunately, it fails to take off for me. Co–stars include Paul Bettany as Dustfinger, Andy Serkis as Capricorn, Jim Broadbent as Fenoglio, and Jennifer Connelly as Roxanne.
