My 'Aidiladha Goodies

My fragrant lemuni rice with ayam masak merah (chicken in chilli and tomato sauce). The leaves on the rice are lemuni. Lemuni rice is one of the Northern Malaysian specialty dishes.

Picked lemuni leaves

Lemuni tree

Many Malays in the Northern Malaysian states plant this tree in their garden. Lemuni is known as a natural energy booster and is used for mothers in confinement.

The herb is also said to have anti
ageing properties. The leaves can also be used to treat burn cuts, headache and get rid of mosquito larvae.

My justbaked kek gula hangus (honeycomb cake)

Honeycomb cake slices, my first attempt. Everyone loved it.

Sago gula melaka (pearl sago with palm sugar syrup) served with milk.

The traditional recipe calls for santan (coconut milk), but I served mine with milk as I'm not a fan of thick coconut milk.

My tiramisu

These are goodies I made for 'Aidiladha. I had no idea what got into me. I couldn't stop cooking and baking. Well, it won't be long before I start to get really busy again. So, I took the opportunity to cook and bake as I please.
